Joel has been our beloved and trusted Audio Engineer for the last 15 years. In a previous life, for over a decade, he was a Journeyman Import Automotive Technician. In 2008 he returned to pursuing his passion for music and went to school to receive his ProTools Operator Certification. When not working, Joel likes to design and build furniture out of wood and fix things that run on electricity and gasoline. At the end of the day, he likes to watch dystopian films with his 16-year-old rescue dog Mookie.

Meet Kate, our newest hire, and LA based Producer! Kate Rubino has spent over a decade working across TV, film, and live events, collaborating with incredible artists and composers to craft soundtracks that stand out. We're so excited to incorporate her experience into the world of music for advertising and new media! At the heart of her work is a deep love for how music connects people and elevates storytelling. Based in Los Angeles by way of NJ and CO, she’s happiest with her dog close by, adventuring in the mountains on her bike, snowboard, or skis, enjoying the beach, or catching a concert.

In addition to our seven Staff Composers, on occasion, we work with a close-knit group of outside talent to write for our music collection. When she’s not touring, Hayley Briasco (artist name: Kim Tee @kimtee_kimtee) has been writing for us for nearly two years.If you’re headed to Lollapalooza in Chicago this weekend, Hayley is playing on not one but TWO stages, with/for Clairo and Dominic Fike . Go Hayley!!!

Jared Miller has been Asche and Spencer’s Mix Engineer since 2009, ensuring every track sounds its best. Originally from Minnesota, he moved to California at 20, where he worked with top engineers and collaborated with Tracy Chapman on three records and many live performances over nearly a decade. After spending time at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada, he returned to the Twin Cities and joined Asche and Spencer. With experience across genres, from rock to classical, Jared brings a versatile ear to each project, working closely with composers to realize their musical visions.

Michael Saltsman is our in house Music Supervisor, and has been working in the industry for nearly 20 years. He has a background in audio production, and has been playing and studying music his entire life. Michael spent most of his career in New York City, working at world renowned recording studios, and providing music creative direction for advertising, films, and major international brands. He is obsessed with all things music, and can’t wait to share some with you!
